A NEW NEIGHBOURHOOD RESTAURANT & BAR IN KINGSTON

Led by Head Chef Marco Palazzo, Solo is The Kingston 1's modern European restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can expect a relaxed daily menu featuring the mouthwatering Buttermilk Chicken Burger with Harissa Mayo and Superfood Salad with Avocado and Black Olive Tapenade. All in a contemporary yet elegant setting featuring sleek tables and industrial-style lights. Outside Solo is also available to enjoy our delicious dishes al fresco.

From Thursday to Saturday, the spotlight is on our Chef's Menu - a more elevated offering bringing a fine dining concept to Solo's casual atmosphere. Signature dishes include Seafood Scotch Egg with Salsa Verde and Nasturtium, Aged Rib Eye Steak with Burnt Onion Puree and Chimichurri, and Spinach & Ricotta Cannelloni with Purple Basil Pesto. From the dessert menu, you do not want to miss the Warm Chocolate Fondant with Vanilla Ice Cream and Hazelnut Praline.

MEET CHEF

MARCO PALAZZO

Marco’s passion for food is rooted in his childhood, cooking with his grandparents who helped him find his culinary influences through classic British and Italian recipes. At 21 he joined the Jaime’s Italian family who would be his professional home for eight years. Starting at their Covent Garden location, Marco grew to become part of the restaurant opening team at their New Delhi restaurant in 2015, to then head other new Jaime’s Italian restaurants in London. In 2019, Marco moved to lead Seabird at The Hoxton hotel as Head Chef.

In 2020, Marco joined new hotel The Kingston 1, taking the lead of its modern European restaurant: Solo. In addition to the daily menu, Marco’s ‘Chef’s Menu’ – available Thursday to Saturday – is influenced by contemporary Italian cooking techniques and celebrates local British produce with signature dishes including Seafood Scotch Egg with Salsa Verde and Nasturtium, Lobster & Scallop with Chorizo & Pepperonata, and Aged Rib Eye Steak with Burnt Onion Puree and Chimichurri. From the dessert menu, the Warm Chocolate Fondant with Vanilla Ice Cream and Hazelnut Praline is set to become a guest favourite.
